Anne Louise Faber
Class of '48

Anne Louise Faber, 81, died Dec. 29, 2007 at Hershey (PA) Medical Center. A native of Gettysburg, she was born there July 17, 1926, to Fred S. and Zita Ramer Faber Sr. After graduating from SJC in 1948, she was in business with her father in Faber’s Restaurant and owned and operated Faber’s Candy Shop, both in Gettysburg. She also worked for 16 in the trust department of Adams County National Bank, and was the tax collector for the borough, country and Gettysburg School District.

Ann was active in community affairs, serving on the boards of the Gettysburg YWCA, Friends of the Library, Women’s Club of Gettysburg, and the SJC Alumnae Association. She was also a member of the Gettysburg DAR, Adams County Historical Society, national AAUW and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Fred S. Faber Jr. Survivors include three nephews, a niece, nine grandnieces and nephews and one great-grandnephew. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Parish, 22 High St., Gettysburg, PA 17325.
