Nancy J. Foley Grattan
Class of '73

Nancy Jane Foley Grattan, 56, died Aug. 14, 2008 at her home in Palmyra, PA. She was born Sept. 19, 1951 in Montclair, NJ, and received her B.S. in nursing from SJC in 1973.

Nancy served in various capacities, including emergency room nursing, at several respected medical institutions, including Dover General and Morristown Memorial hospitals (NJ), Geisinger Medical Center (PA), and St. Joseph’s Hospital (ME). Prior to her death she had returned to the pediatric work she loved at the M.S. Hershey (PA) Medical Center, where she was well liked and respected both as an employee and co-worker. For leisure, she enjoyed gardening, traveling and swimming.

Nancy suffered from coronary artery disease and was an insulin-dependent diabetic for most of her life.

Her parents, Kieran and Harriet (Seelig) Foley, predeceased Nancy. Surviving are her husband of 26 years, Roger P. Grattan; a daughter Mary C. Grattan at home; sisters Carol Krehel of West Orange, NJ, and Mary Ellen Lombardi of Haywood, VA; an aunt, June Jesch of Wayne, NJ; cousins, a niece, nephews, a grand niece, and grand nephews.
