In Memoriam
Ann F. Peelor
Class of '64
Ann F. Peelor, 65, of Swissvale, PA, a member of the SJC Class of 1964, died of cancer Sept. 24, 2007, at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Shadyside Hospital. Daughter of Charlie and Joy Peelor, Ann was retired from the Trust Department of PNC Bank. Although she had a successful career at PNC, she looked forward to the time when she could devote more of herself to community service.
“From the time Ann was a youngster, she was focused on reaching out to others,” said her brother, Michael F. Peelor. “We were raised in a devout Catholic family. When Ann attended College in Emmitsburg, MD, she had intentions of becoming a nun.”
She was a past president and member of the Swissvale Rotary Club, a program director of the Braddock Field Historic Society, board member of the Mon Valley Initiative, Vice President of the Swissvale Economic Development Corp., board member of the Swissvale Meals on Wheels, Swissvale representative to the Tri-Boro Development Forum, past committee woman of the Swissvale Democratic Party, and a member of the Swissvale Planning Commission.
Her parents and brothers, David G. and Charles G. Jr. Peelor predeceased Ann. In addition to her brother Michael, brothers Robert F. and Mark L. Peelor, and several nieces and nephews survive her.
